DAY 1: Thursday, February 2nd, 2012 Santiago de Chile
Bienvenido a Chile! You’ll be greeted at the Hotel by your Montañamar expedition guide. Spend some time freshening up before we start a fascinating (walking) exploration of the heart of Santiago. Visit Santa Lucia hill, where Pedro de Valdivia founded the city in 1542 and walk to the oldest church in Santiago. See the charming neighborhood known as Paris-Londres and visit the main square, “Plaza de Armas.” Welcome dinner included this evening (fine wines and drinks included). Day 2: Friday, February 3rd, 2012 Santiago de Chile
Breakfast buffet in the Hotel. This morning we set out to discover one of Chiles most amazing museums, the Chilean Museum of History. Housed in the elegant building of the former Government House, this is one of Chile’s best museums and offers visitors a rare glimpse into Chile’s history. We’ll have lunch in the colorful and chaotic Mercado Central, a fun way to see Chile’s agricultural exports displayed. Shoppers always enjoy watching the lively fishmongers gutting and filleting fish and the market displays every kind of fish and shellfish available along the Chilean coast. (wine and drinks included). After lunch, we walk through the neigbourhood of Bellavsita and we drive up to the overlook hill “Cerro San Cristobal” to enjoy great view over the city and the Andes mountain range. DAY 3: Saturday, February 4th, 2012 Maipo Valley – Colchagua Valley
After breakfast, we head to the upper Maipo valley for a visit & tasting to Viña Concha y Toro and afterwards to Viña Perez Cruz. Viña Perez Cruzy was build in hormonize with the sourroundings and only native elements like wood and stones where used for the construction. The ideal conditions of an mediterranean climate, aluvial soils and clear water from the Andes Mountains makes that each wine express the caracter of the Maipu valley terroir! Afterwards. We’ll drive south two hours to the beautiful town of Santa Cruz. Located in the heart of Chile’s premier wine valley, Santa Cruz is the perfect location in which to start our wine adventure in the Colchagua Valley. Day 4: Sunday, February 5th, 2012 Colonial Haciendas and Great Wine Estates
After breakfast we visit Viña Montes, a winery founded by four partners and located in an area known as the “Apalta.” This region is one of the most recognized and respected wine zones in the Colchagua Valley. The Colchagua Valley was one of the main agricultural areas of the country because of big family "haciendas," which were the productive centers of the central region of Chile. Today, remains of these old "patronal" houses can be seen along the roads along which you will travel. Enjoy a winery visit and tasting at Viña Montes. Lunch, which will be served in a well selected restaurant (wines and drinks included). In the afternoon we go for visit and tasting to Viña Neyen, to see one of the oldest vines in Chile. We will return to historic Santa Cruz in the late afternoon. Overnight Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza (4*)

Day 5: Monday, February 6th, 2012 San Antonio Valley - Leyda valley/Casablanca valley
After a Chilean breakfast, we drive through the countryside to get to the Leyda valley. This recently discovered valley provide one of the best Chilean white wines. We go for visit and tasting to viña Matetic. Late afternoon we reach our new and beautiful Hotel Sheraton Miramar (5*)

Day 6: Tuesday, February 7th, 2012 Valparaiso
Breakfast buffet in the Hotel. Day visit to the city of Valparaiso (World heritage site by UNESCO). We are going to visit all important places in Valpariso. Trip by cable car to the great overlook point “21 de mayo” and enjoy the view to the port In the early afternoon return drive to your Hotel.

Day 7: Wednesday, February 8th, 2012 Valparaiso – Mendoza
Early Breakfast in the Hotel. Private Transfer to the airport in Santiago de Chile and flight from Santiago to Mendoza. (Departure Santaigo by LAN, 11.05am; Arriving time in Mendoza 12.00pm) At the airport your private speaking Montañamar Tours guide will wait for you. Transfer to Hotel Park Hyatt (5*) on the main square in Mendoza. In the afternoon private city tour to visit the most important places in Mendoza. Overnight Hotel Park Hyatt (5*)

Day 8: Thursday, February 9th, 2012 Wine district Mendoza - Lujan de Cuyo Valley
Breakfast buffet in the Hotel. Your host will pick you up from your hotel. First, we visit and taste wines at Tapiz winery. There we will start by visiting the vineyards and finish in the winery tasting wine straight from the American and French oak barrels to learn the difference. Our next stop will be at Ruca Malen winery. There we will taste their wines in a lovely room to end with a lunch facing the magnificent Los Andes mountain range. And finally, we will visit and taste Carmelo Patti winery, where we’ll be received by Carmelo himself, one of the most remarkable winemakers in Argentina. In the late afternoon return to your Hotel.

Day 9: Friday, February 10th, 2012 Mendoza – Buenos Aires
Breakfast in the Hotel. Private Transfer to the airport and flight from Mendoza to Buenos Aires. Arrival in Buenos Aires. Meet your local guide and transfer to your Hotel Pestana (4/5*), located next to the business, banking and entertainment districts. Check-In. In the afternoon you will enjoy your first introductory tour of Buenos Aires. The journey starts in Plaza de Mayo surrounded by “Casa Rosada” (government house), the Metropolitan Cathedral and the old “Cabildo” (chapter house), Spanish headquarters. We continue along “Avenida de Mayo” up to the Congress Square, next to the National Congress. Here you will have enough time to learn about the argentine history. We continue to Corrientes Avenue, the street that never sleeps until arriving to the “Obelisco” and the theater Colon, located on the world largest avenue 9 de Julio. Day 10: Saturday, February 11th, 2012 Buenos Aires
Breakfast buffet in the Hotel. During the morning you will visit “La Boca” the bohemian colorful neighborhood of Italian immigrants, where the city of Buenos Aires where founded. Afterwards we continue to the port district “Puerto Madero” before we reach the district “Recoleta” and “Palermo”. Here you will learn more about the story of Eva Peron and we will visit the cementery. In the afternoon you will have time to take a coffee in Tortoni or visiting one of the beautiful museums. Day 11: Sunday, February 12th, 2012 San Telmo Market – Home flight USA
Breakfast buffet in the Hotel. Enjoy on your own the Sunday market of San Telmo (only on Sunday available). This is where you’ll capture a true slice of Buenos Aires life as you stroll past artisan stalls, entertaining street musicians and talented dancers demonstrating the Tango! In the late afternoon private transfer to the international airport and home flight to the USA. We wish you a good home flight!
