1. Tag: Europa- Brasilien
Abflugstag von Europa nach Brasilien

2. Tag: Sao Paulo – Weinbauregion Sao Roque
Herzlich Willkommen am Flughafen in Sao Paulo. Nach den Einreiseformalitäten empfängt Sie Ihr deutschsprachiger Fachreiseleiter. Fahrt vom Flughafen direkt in die Weinbauregion Sao Roque (ca. 65 km von Sao Paulo entfernt). Im 16. Jahrhundert wurde in Kleinbetrieben bereits Wein für den Eigenbedarf angebaut. Erst gegen Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts erhielt der Weinbau einen Aufschwung. Vor allem Mitte des letzten Jahrhunderts gehörte die Gegend zusammen mit den Tälern der “Sierra Gaucha” im Süden Brasiliens zu einem der wichtigsten Anbaugebiete. Die in den 13 Weingütern der Region produzierten Weine gehören noch zu den volkstümlich bekannten Weinen Brasiliens. Übernachtung in einem ausgewählten Hotel der Zone. Mittagessen in einem traditionellen Restaurant in Sao Roque. Am Nachmittag Besichtigung eines Weinbaubetriebes mit Degustation der Zone. Hier werden wir den ersten Einblick über den Weinbau in Brasilien bekommen. In der Zone werden Riesling, Moscatel, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, etc. vinifiziert. 3. Tag: Campinas – Kaffeeplantage
Nach dem Frühstück Abfahrt Richtung Campinas einer ca. 60km entfernten und ca. 1.03 Millionen grossen Universitätsstadt. Während des Vormittags Besichtigung einer Bananenplantage. Mittagessen während des Tages. Besichtigung einer der grössten Kaffee-Plantagen im Bundesstaat Sao Paulo (Fazenda Tozan, eine der typischen Kaffeefazendas dieser Region, wobei ca. 95% des Anbaus exportiert wird. Auf einer Fläche von ca. 300 Hektar werden über 1,35 Millionen Kaffeepflanzen angebaut. Bei einer ausführlichen Führung lernen Sie alle wichtigen Prozesse der Kaffeeproduktion kennen: Anbau, Ernte, Weiterverarbeitung, etc. Nächtigung in Campinas

4. Tag: Kolonial Ortschaft Paraty
Frühstück im Hotel. Heute fahren wire in Stück der Ayaton Sena Autobahn bevor es über die Landstrasse zum Atlantik geht und in die wunderschöne Kolonialortschaft Paraty. Paraty war bis zum 18. Jahrhundert der wichtigste Hafen, wo das Gold von Ouro Preto nach Portugal exportiert wurde. Von Piraten heimgesucht, verlor der Hafen in Paraty immer mehr an Bedeutung. Besichtigung der Ortschaft Paraty. Abendessen in Paraty. Übernachtung in einer ausgewählten Pousada (3-4*)

5. Tag: Strände – Atlantik – Paraty
Frühstück in der Pousada. Heute unternehmen wir eine faszinierende Schiffsfahrt die Sie zu wunderschönen Stränden und Buchten in Paraty führt. Spezielles Mittagessen für die Gruppe. Am Nachmittag erreichen wir wieder Paraty und in einem kurzen Fussmarsch, werden wir die Festung von Paraty besuchen. Übernachtung in einer ausgewählten Pousada (3-4*)

6. Tag: Rio de Janeiro
Frühstück im Hotel. Entlang der Küstenstrasse fahren wir an bezaubernde Buchten und Fischerortschaften vorbei. Am späten Nachmittag erreichen wir Rio de Janeiro. Eine faszinierende Stadt wartet auf uns sowie die weltbekannten Strände Ipanema und Copacabana. Check-in in einem ausgewählten Hotel in Rio (3-4*). Abendessen in einer ausgewählten Churrascaria.

7. Tag: Pan do Azucar – Corcovado - Rio de Janeiro
Frühstück im Hotel. Bereiten Sie sich auf einen erlebnisreichen Tag vor. Am Vormittag Fahrt auf den in 710m in der Höhe gelegenen Christusstatue “Corcovado”. Mit der Eisenbahn geht es hoch zu diesem modernen Weltwunder. Erleben Sie den grandiosen 360º Blick über die wohl schönste Stadt der Welt und bewundern Sie die weltberühmte Erlöserstatue, die von hier ihre Hände schützend über die “Cidade Maravilhosa” ausbreitet. Mittagessen in einem ausgewählten Restaurant. Am Nachmittag Auffahrt zum Zuckerhut. Von hier aus haben Sie einen fantastischen Ausblick auf die Guanabarabucht und “Tijuca” Gebirge mit dem Corcovado. Besuch des Stadtzentrums mit den wichtigsten Sehenwürdigkeiten. Übernachtung in einem ausgewählten Hotel in Rio (3-4*)

8. Tag: Rio de Janeiro - Iguazu
Frühstück im Hotel. Währen des Vormittags Transfer zum Flughafen und anschliessender Flug von Rio de Janeiro nach Iguazu. Check-in ausgewählten Hotel in Foz do Iguazu (3-4*). Während des Nachmittags Besichtigung der Wasserfälle auf brasilienischer Seite. Da 80% der Wasserfälle auf argentinischer Seite liegen, hat man von der brasilienischen Seite einen einzigartigen Panoramablick auf diese gigantische Kulisse der donnernden und schäumenden Wasserfälle. Abendessen.

9. Tag: Iguazu
Frühstück im Hotel. Heute besichtigen wir die Wasserfälle auf argentinischer Seite. Die Grösse und Wildheit der Wasserfälle beeindrucken Besucher aus der ganzen Welt. Der Blick in die “Garganta del Diablo “ “Teufelsrachen” ist ein faszinierendes Naturschauspiel. Gut ausgebaute Pfade führen an die spektakulären Panoramaaussichtspunkte. Der hohe Wasserdunst bildet auch den Nährboden für ein besonders reichhaltiges Tier- und Pflanzenleben. Mittagessen in einem ausgewählten Restaurant. Am Nachmittag Besichtigung vom Wasserkraftwerk Itaipu am Paraná, dem Grenzfluss zwischen Brasilien und Paraguay, welches 1982 in Betrieb ging und zu den leistungsstärksten der Welt zählt. Rückfahrt zum Hotel. Am Abend (fakultativ) Fahrt zur Churrascaria mit Folklore Show der Region und der 3 zusammentreffenden Länder und Kulturen. Übernachtung in Iguazu.

10. Tag: Fazenda Apolo mit Viehwirtschaft, Soja, Mais und Weizen
Frühstück im Hotel. Heute steht ein Fachbesuch auf der Fazenda “Apolo” in São Miguel do Iguazu, ca. 60 km von Foz do Iguazu entfernt auf dem Programm. Die Fazenda teilt ca. 2.300ha Fläche auf 45% Vielwirtschaft (pro Hektar 4 Rinder), 10% Forstwirtschaft und den Rest auf Landwirtschaft auf. Die Hauptanbaupridukte aind Soja (ca. 3.500kg Prokuktion pro hektar, Mais (ca. 7.000kg Produktion pro Hektar), und Weizen (ca. 2.550kg pro Hektar). Im Oktober ist die Hauptanbauzeit von Soja. Am Nachmittag Rückfahrt zum Hotel. Abschlussabendessen im Hotel.

11. Tag: Brasilien – Europa
Frühstück im Hotel. Transfer zum Flughafen und anschliessender Flug nach Sao Paulo bzw. Rio de Janeiro. Internationaler Anschlussflug nach Europa. Wir wünschen guten Heimflug. Hasta pronto!!!

DAY 1: Thursday, February 2nd, 2012 Santiago de Chile
Bienvenido a Chile! You’ll be greeted at the Hotel by your Montañamar expedition guide. Spend some time freshening up before we start a fascinating (walking) exploration of the heart of Santiago. Visit Santa Lucia hill, where Pedro de Valdivia founded the city in 1542 and walk to the oldest church in Santiago. See the charming neighborhood known as Paris-Londres and visit the main square, “Plaza de Armas.” Welcome dinner included this evening (fine wines and drinks included). Day 2: Friday, February 3rd, 2012 Santiago de Chile
Breakfast buffet in the Hotel. This morning we set out to discover one of Chiles most amazing museums, the Chilean Museum of History. Housed in the elegant building of the former Government House, this is one of Chile’s best museums and offers visitors a rare glimpse into Chile’s history. We’ll have lunch in the colorful and chaotic Mercado Central, a fun way to see Chile’s agricultural exports displayed. Shoppers always enjoy watching the lively fishmongers gutting and filleting fish and the market displays every kind of fish and shellfish available along the Chilean coast. (wine and drinks included). After lunch, we walk through the neigbourhood of Bellavsita and we drive up to the overlook hill “Cerro San Cristobal” to enjoy great view over the city and the Andes mountain range. DAY 3: Saturday, February 4th, 2012 Maipo Valley – Colchagua Valley
After breakfast, we head to the upper Maipo valley for a visit & tasting to Viña Concha y Toro and afterwards to Viña Perez Cruz. Viña Perez Cruzy was build in hormonize with the sourroundings and only native elements like wood and stones where used for the construction. The ideal conditions of an mediterranean climate, aluvial soils and clear water from the Andes Mountains makes that each wine express the caracter of the Maipu valley terroir! Afterwards. We’ll drive south two hours to the beautiful town of Santa Cruz. Located in the heart of Chile’s premier wine valley, Santa Cruz is the perfect location in which to start our wine adventure in the Colchagua Valley. Day 4: Sunday, February 5th, 2012 Colonial Haciendas and Great Wine Estates
After breakfast we visit Viña Montes, a winery founded by four partners and located in an area known as the “Apalta.” This region is one of the most recognized and respected wine zones in the Colchagua Valley. The Colchagua Valley was one of the main agricultural areas of the country because of big family "haciendas," which were the productive centers of the central region of Chile. Today, remains of these old "patronal" houses can be seen along the roads along which you will travel. Enjoy a winery visit and tasting at Viña Montes. Lunch, which will be served in a well selected restaurant (wines and drinks included). In the afternoon we go for visit and tasting to Viña Neyen, to see one of the oldest vines in Chile. We will return to historic Santa Cruz in the late afternoon. Overnight Hotel Santa Cruz Plaza (4*)

Day 5: Monday, February 6th, 2012 San Antonio Valley - Leyda valley/Casablanca valley
After a Chilean breakfast, we drive through the countryside to get to the Leyda valley. This recently discovered valley provide one of the best Chilean white wines. We go for visit and tasting to viña Matetic. Late afternoon we reach our new and beautiful Hotel Sheraton Miramar (5*)

Day 6: Tuesday, February 7th, 2012 Valparaiso
Breakfast buffet in the Hotel. Day visit to the city of Valparaiso (World heritage site by UNESCO). We are going to visit all important places in Valpariso. Trip by cable car to the great overlook point “21 de mayo” and enjoy the view to the port In the early afternoon return drive to your Hotel.

Day 7: Wednesday, February 8th, 2012 Valparaiso – Mendoza
Early Breakfast in the Hotel. Private Transfer to the airport in Santiago de Chile and flight from Santiago to Mendoza. (Departure Santaigo by LAN, 11.05am; Arriving time in Mendoza 12.00pm) At the airport your private speaking Montañamar Tours guide will wait for you. Transfer to Hotel Park Hyatt (5*) on the main square in Mendoza. In the afternoon private city tour to visit the most important places in Mendoza. Overnight Hotel Park Hyatt (5*)

Day 8: Thursday, February 9th, 2012 Wine district Mendoza - Lujan de Cuyo Valley
Breakfast buffet in the Hotel. Your host will pick you up from your hotel. First, we visit and taste wines at Tapiz winery. There we will start by visiting the vineyards and finish in the winery tasting wine straight from the American and French oak barrels to learn the difference. Our next stop will be at Ruca Malen winery. There we will taste their wines in a lovely room to end with a lunch facing the magnificent Los Andes mountain range. And finally, we will visit and taste Carmelo Patti winery, where we’ll be received by Carmelo himself, one of the most remarkable winemakers in Argentina. In the late afternoon return to your Hotel.

Day 9: Friday, February 10th, 2012 Mendoza – Buenos Aires
Breakfast in the Hotel. Private Transfer to the airport and flight from Mendoza to Buenos Aires. Arrival in Buenos Aires. Meet your local guide and transfer to your Hotel Pestana (4/5*), located next to the business, banking and entertainment districts. Check-In. In the afternoon you will enjoy your first introductory tour of Buenos Aires. The journey starts in Plaza de Mayo surrounded by “Casa Rosada” (government house), the Metropolitan Cathedral and the old “Cabildo” (chapter house), Spanish headquarters. We continue along “Avenida de Mayo” up to the Congress Square, next to the National Congress. Here you will have enough time to learn about the argentine history. We continue to Corrientes Avenue, the street that never sleeps until arriving to the “Obelisco” and the theater Colon, located on the world largest avenue 9 de Julio. Day 10: Saturday, February 11th, 2012 Buenos Aires

Afterwards we continue to the port district “Puerto Madero” before we reach the district “Recoleta” and “Palermo”. Here you will learn more about the story of Eva Peron and we will visit the cementery. In the afternoon you will have time to take a coffee in Tortoni or visiting one of the beautiful museums. Am Ende einer Reise, die bestimmt ein Wiedersehen verspricht...

Liebe Frau Kurtzahn,

Ja richtig, wir sind gut zuhause angekommen - hoch lebe Facebook. Die Reise war wirklich toll.

Im Gesamtpaket hat alles gestimmt. Alle Probleme die es vor Ort gab hat Hannes mit grosser Professionalität und Kompetenz und zu meiner vollsten Zufriedenheit gelöst. Für mich war die Reise, nach meinem Besuch der Sommelierschule in Koblenz im letzten Jahr, eine wichtige geschäftliche Weiterbildung, um meinen eigenen Weinfachhandel in Zukunft noch professioneller führen zu können. Ich hatte mir einige Ziele gesteckt, die ich mit Hannes Unterstützung voll erreichen konnte.

Ich habe mir unendliche viele Verkostungsnotizen gemacht und fühle mich jetzt diesen beiden wunderbaren Weinproduzenten - Argentinien und Chile - ein grosses Stück näher.

Die Wahl der Weingüter war geschickt gewählt und perfekt für einen Überblick über beide Länder. Auch mein grosses Hobby Fotografieren ist voll auf seine Kosten gekommen.

Hannes hat uns auch an seinem unglaublich grossen geschichtlichem Wissen teilhaben lassen und uns viele viele viele interessante Dinge berichtet und beigebracht.
